Occupational Risk Prevention for Dentistry (University Degree + 4 ECTS Credits)

With the course in prevention of occupational hazards for dentistry you will know the set of actions and measures that are intended to prevent, control and eliminate the risks that are present in jobs related to dentistry, that is, in health environments related to dental health and that can affect the safety of workers. Current PRL regulations implies that both entrepreneurs and workers have training and general competences on it, although this is not their main mission in the organization. This course develops the set of basic knowledge that must be taken into account in terms of occupational safety and health in the performance of work in dentistry in health environments.

- Understand the basic foundations for occupational risk prevention management. - Knowing how to identify and evaluate potential risks and damage to the health of workers in work environments. - Manage the necessary resources for the elaboration of intervention programs that improve working conditions. - Interpret the results of PRL management programs in health environments. - Develop the necessary skills to guarantee an adequate level of protection in dental health work.

Professional outputs of this course in occupational risk prevention for dentistry are oriented towards the management of occupational health and safety units in dental clinics or in dental services in organizations specialized in dental health care, and in general they want to acquire knowledge in this area.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
