Summary
The pediatric palliative care course offers you training on the fundamental aspects of palliative care in the pediatric field. It is designed to provide you with the necessary tools to comprehensively address the needs of patients and their families during the terminal phase of a disease. The course consists of five didactic units that address the introductory aspects to palliative care, pain management, related pharmacology, the terminal phase of the disease and effective communication with the patient and his family, which will allow you to provide quality care. In addition, you will have the orientation of experts in the field of pediatric palliative care.

To prepare you
The pediatric palliative care course prepares you to provide comprehensive and quality care to pediatric patients in a terminal disease. Through the contents you will acquire the necessary knowledge to evaluate and handle pain, communicate effectively with patients and their families, and offer adequate emotional and psychological support during the terminal phase of the disease.

This course is aimed exclusively at health personnel according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the management of health professions
Official Character
This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
