The social educator, within the prison institutions, includes a recognized figure both legally and regulation, which carries out a series of functions that have been growing and evolving over the years. Thus, with the present postgraduate degree in young and adult education in prisons it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the application of methodologies of social education and the development and promotion of social skills in the penitentiary field.

- Identify the characteristics of social education in prison institutions. - Characterize the internment process in penitentiary institutions. - Analyze the proposals for the social insertion of inmates in semi -open and open media. - Explain the methodology that can be used for the development and promotion of social skills. - Develop basic criteria and strategies to train in different social skills, such as verbal and nonverbal communication, assertiveness, self -esteem, self -control, resilience, empathy and active listening, emotional intelligence, cooperation and negotiation and conflict resolution. - To guide the development and promotion of social skills to the educational field, specifically to coexistence. - Describe the digital competence of the teacher according to the regulatory framework. - Define the concept, advantages and disadvantages, characteristics and educational tools of ICT. - Know the psychopedagogical bases of ICT integration. - state and describe virtual educational resources, e-learning and collaborative work. - Relate the risks and consequences associated with the use of ICT.

He develops his professional activity, both on his own and integrated into companies, public or private, dedicated to the scope of social education in the penitentiary field.

This postgraduate education of young people and adults in prison centers will provide students with the skills, tools and concepts necessary to focus their work career towards socio -educational action in the penitentiary field.

The present postgraduate degree in young and adult education in prisons is aimed at professionals in the field of education, as well as all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to socio -educational actions in the penitentiary field.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
