Specialist course in human genetics

Human genetics tries to study as hereditary characters, genes, are transmitted from generation to generation to each individual. In addition, it offers the possibility of finding out if a disease may be inherited by children, depending on the type of mutation that exists in chromosomes. Thus, with this course it is intended to offer the necessary knowledge in history of human genetics, the components that are part of it, such as chromosomes and DNA, as well as the various laws and concepts that are part of the field of genetics.

- Describe and explain Mendel's laws, within human genetics, as well as basic processes within molecular genetics. - Define the concepts that are part of the study of populations genetics and the organization of human genome. - Develop evolutionary theories and processes that occur within evolutionary genetics. - Summarize and identify the types of chromosomes and their importance from the point of view of mutations. - Understand the embryogenesis process and the mutations that occur during this process.

The present course of human genetics allows to know the basic concepts within human genetics and the various fields of study of genetics, being able to expand knowledge regarding hereditary processes through Mendel's laws, the exhaustive analysis of chromosomes and genes, as well as their function within the mutation-disease binomial.

The human genetics course is aimed at all those specialized in this field and want to expand their knowledge referring to human genetics and inheritance and for all those interested in obtaining basic knowledge about human genetics.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
