Summary
Neurochemistry includes a series of specific studies on chemical components focused on neurotransmitters and certain particles that can alter neurons, as is the case with narcotics. Its main objective is to find out how these chemicals are synthesized and released in the brain and its response to fulfill their functions. On the other hand, neuropharmacology focuses on the effects of drugs on the nervous system. This aims at the actions of medicines for psychiatric and neurological diseases, as well as treatments for substance addiction problems. This course of neurochemistry and neuropharmacology prepares you to know what duties the pharmacological laboratories and the legislation that they must apply have, as well as to understand the functions of neurotransmitters and their classification. In addition, it gives you knowledge about neuroplasticity and the neuropharmaceuticals existing in the market, its characteristics and effects and the motor disorders induced by them.
