Course in sports activities and disability

The constant demand in recent years of different groups with functional diversity has generated a broad interest in the development of adapted activities and sports, raising the need for greater attention to this group. This course offers the possibility of knowing closely the historical evolution and the present of the adapted sport, as well as to deepen the specific work needs and methods from the physical activity sciences to work with people with functional diversity. In Isem we have created a personal learning environment that integrates didactic tools and resources in continuous update in the field of disability and adapted sport, deepening the contents and thus creating a unique learning experience.

Know the historical development of adapted sport. Acquire the knowledge and abilities necessary to develop adapted physical-sports activities. Develop the necessary skills to work with people with special educational needs. Know the legislation that regulates sports development in special situations.

This course will help you develop your career in the field of adapted physical activity, being very useful when opting for positions in various sports institutions, technical teams in adapted sports, physical activity monitors for people with disabilities, leisure assistant and free time, support personnel in educational or health institutions.

The performance of the course in sports activities and disability will allow you to acquire the necessary knowledge to know in depth the environment of the sport and the essential factors of the physical activities adapted for people with disabilities, working on the different cases that could occur in the development of sports practice and physical activities.

This course is mainly aimed at all those who dedicate themselves professionally to the field of education and sciences of physical activity and sports and seek to continue training in this field. As well as all those interested in acquiring specific training in the development of sports activities and disability.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
