SUPERIOR COURSE IN Copyright

Through the protection of the authors' intellectual creations, their dissemination between the general public is encouraged, increasing the cultural and scientific level of a country. In addition, the intellectual property right constitutes an important element of economic policy, since it promotes the development of the so -called content industry, which serves as an intermediary in the transmission of knowledge and information between content creators and the consumer public. Intellectual property has become, a legal branch of great importance due to the remarkable increase in the commercialization of audiovisual, musical, literary works, etc. which currently claims a greater number of specialized professionals.

- Explain and describe the foundations, scope and content of the copyright and related rights - Know and familiarly manage the international, European and Spanish legal framework regarding intellectual and industrial property. - Identify the differences and implications on copyright and copyright models. - Solve legal issues related to authors and other holders of intellectual property rights regarding creations and other protection subjects. - Analyze and resolve issues related to the protection of trademarks and trade names, geographical indications, industrial designs, patents, as well as other assimilated protection mechanisms.

It can be useful to all those work in: records and musical edition, editorials, audiovisual sector or software and video games. Or for patent -dependent companies, or whose brand and design is an asset of great value, collective management entities, professional associations, public bodies, large consultants.

It will prepare to apply the protection and judicial protection mechanisms of intellectual and industrial property rights. The training objective of this course is to analyze all the relationships that occur among all the subjects that make up this discipline (authors, producers, artists, management entities) deepening especially in the incidence that Internet has had and, in general, the digital environment, in intellectual property.

This course is oriented to people who are pursuing the law degree or who have ended it and want to specialize in this discipline, as well as to exercise lawyers and people related to the audiovisual sector or copyright who want to have a knowledge of the legislation in this area.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
