Therapeutic companion course: therapeutic accompaniment (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

The therapeutic companion is a professional who offers care support with psychiatric, educational, gerontological orientation, etc. In order to facilitate recovery and reintegration into their environment of patients affected by different pathologies, acting according to the strategies and intervention instruments defined by the social and/or health team. Through this permanent training course in therapeutic accompaniment, students are offered the necessary training to offer this support.

- You will know the figure of the therapeutic companion and the regulatory framework that regulates its activity. - You will know the fundamental elements of attention to people in dependency. - You will know the fundamental elements of attention to drug dependent people. - You will know the fundamental elements of disabled attention. - You will know the fundamental elements of attention to people with different mental disorders.

Therapeutic accompaniment.

The therapeutic companion course offers you the professional knowledge, competences and skills necessary to offer care support to different groups and groups, through the most important therapeutic accompaniment techniques.

This therapeutic accompaniment course is directed exclusively to health personnel, as psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists and social workers, interested in expanding their skills in this specialized area. This course offers fundamental tools and strategies to provide comprehensive support to people with mental disorders, disabilities or chronic diseases.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
