Summary

In the field of the world of energy and water it is necessary to know the different fields in the management of the operation in thermoelectric plants. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the prevention of occupational and environmental risks in thermoelectric plants.

Goals

- Analyze prevention and safety measures regarding the actions of manipulation of facilities and equipment, contained in the security plans of the companies in the sector. - Apply the security plan analyzing the measures of prevention, security and environmental protection of the company. - Analyze the conditions and procedures that guarantee safety in operation work and in abnormal situations in thermoelectric plants. - Reason and value emergency devices against accidents and environmental incidents, describing each of them and establishing the actions to be performed in each case.

Professional opportunities

It develops its professional activity in the area or department of production of companies dedicated to the thermoelectric generation through thermal power plants of coal, gas, diesel, biomass and other fuels, including facilities of thermosolar power generation and cogeneration.
