In the field of extractive industries, it is necessary to know the different fields of operations with pneumatic or electrohydraulic rotary drills, within the Mining Professional Area. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to perform underground blasting.

- Distinguish the different types of explosives and initiation systems used in underground blasting, relating them to the different kinds of blasting and different applications, and indicating the general conditions for handling, as established by current regulations. - Apply the established procedures to transport, manipulate and store explosives, initiation systems and accessories, in accordance with current regulations. - Apply the procedures established in the underground blasting to install the shooting line in the electric pegs, check its continuity and electrical insulation in accordance with current regulations. - Apply the established procedures to carry out, in the underground blasting, the preparation of the cartridge, the load, the retouching and the connections of the initiation systems following the current safety standards. - Apply the established procedures to shoot the underground blast in safety conditions, in accordance with current regulations. - Apply the different procedures to destroy explosives and initiation systems following the internal security provisions. - Apply the different methods established to eliminate failed sweeps, in accordance with current regulations. - Organize the blasting work and take responsibility for the work carried out and the fulfillment of the established objectives, within the framework of the established work instructions and procedures.

He develops his professional activity as a worker on behalf of others in the area of production of large, medium and small businesses, public or private, dedicated to underground excavation, support and consolidation of the land, with use or not of the excavated materials. He performs technical activities, within the framework of the functions and objectives assigned by technicians of a higher level, of which he will receive general instructions and to which he will inform. The professional activity of performing explosives is subject to the regulation of the competent general administration.

This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the UF0774 underground blast. Autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at professionals in the world of extractive industries, specifically in underground blasting, within the professional area, mining and to all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to underground blasting.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
