UF2430 Course Manufacture of Elements, Substitution and Adjustment of Fine Mechanical Watches

In the field of arts and crafts, it is necessary to know the different fields of the restoration and repair of period, historical and automaton watches, within the professional area Recovery, repair and artistic maintenance. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the manufacture of elements, replacement and adjustment of fine mechanical watchmaking.

- Define raw materials usually used in the manufacture of watchmaking elements and their main characteristics. - Describe the main manufacturing operations of fine mechanical watchmaking elements (milling, turning, filled, drilled and polished), as well as the equipment and tools required for it. - Perform replacement and adjustment operations of fine mechanical watchmaking elements, ensuring its operation. - Define and specify the use of the tools used in the assembly, adjustment and verification of the elements of the mechanical clock and the control, tuning and verification elements. - Adjust the mechanical clock in accordance with the parameters indicated in the technical documentation with the different calibers and carry out the control of hermeticity with the verification devices. - Apply quality control techniques and fine mechanical watchmaking techniques checking the operation and taking into account customer information.

It develops its professional activity in stores, companies and/or watchmaking workshops dedicated to the distribution, sale, repair and maintenance of fine mechanical watchmaking and/or period, historical and automaton watches. It works on its own or of others, repairs fine mechanical watchmaking and performs auxiliary activities for restoration of period watches, historical and automatons, under the supervision of a superior technician in the case of watches that enjoy singular protection and guardianship that appear in the Catalog of Heritage or those declared of cultural interest included in the General Inventory of Personal Property of the Spanish Historical Heritage (Law 16/1985 of Spanish Historical Heritage and RD 111/1986 Partial development of the law).

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the UF2430 training unit Manufacture of elements, replacement and adjustment of fine mechanical watchmaking, certifying having exceeded the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through work experience and non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at professionals in the world of arts and crafts, specifically in restoration and repair of period watches, within the professional area Recovery, repair and artistic maintenance, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge related to the manufacture of elements, replacement and adjustment of fine mechanical watchmaking.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
