The first years of life are, without a doubt, the most influential period, because that is when the foundations of personality and feelings are forged and a whole series of vertiginous physiological and cognitive changes occur. In the development of all these capacities, playful activity plays a crucial role, the game is, in effect, an activity inherent in human nature and fundamental for the correct progression of the evolutionary course. Given the pedagogical relevance of the game and the toy at this stage, educators must know how to select it and use it in the most convenient way to extract from it all its didactic value. In the same way, children's literature can be a very effective didactic tool, but to make it so, specific guidelines and techniques must be followed. The teacher must promote a first contact with the reading that is pleasant and stimulating and will use the story as one of the main means to explain concepts, propitiate learning experiences and work the cross -sectional topics of the curriculum. The homologated course of workshops and corners of games and storytelling in early education offers the teacher the necessary knowledge to carry out these actions. It is a chemable approved course for oppositions.

Goals

- Make an approach to the key concepts related to child development, making special emphasis on the theories that support it, its general characteristics, dimensions, needs, etc. - Acquire knowledge about the distribution, decoration and conditioning of the classroom to facilitate the sensory learning of children. - Know what games and workshops consist of, how they are used and how they should be developed. - Know the different types of activities, games and workshops that are used during childhood education for different areas of knowledge. - Perform a theoretical approach to child psychological development from its different areas including the social, psychomotor, cognitive and creative development of the child. - Understand what the process of acquiring language consists of and how its development occurs. - Acquire basic knowledge about children's literature, making special mention of its characteristics and the various ways in which it is presented. - Know the applications and didactic uses of stories as well as the methodology that must be followed to achieve optimal practice of the story. - Recognize the positive importance and influence of children's literature and the practice of the story about development, in its different areas, of students of Early Childhood Education. - Acquire the necessary knowledge guidelines to collaborate in promoting children reading.
