COURSE HISTORY OF URBANISM: COURSE OF SPECIALIST IN HISTORY OF URBANISM

In the field of urbanism history, it is necessary to understand and know the evolution that society has cope with, to understand the changes that cities have experienced. The development of cities and urban management of the same, has been directly conditioned throughout history, by the acts and needs of the population. Thus, with the Urban Planning History course, it is intended to provide a special vision that allows us to understand the events that have led to the formation of current cities.

- Know the origin of the cities and assess their historical evolution. - Determine the evolution of urbanism in antiquity from a domestic, sacred, territorial, public and playful perspective. - Estimate the changes that the ancient cities suffered during the transition to the Modern Age. - Recognize the main characteristics of cities in the Modern Age. - Assess the effects that the industrial revolution caused to the city. - Being able to understand the urban, industrial and architectural evolution that the city experienced from 1900 to the present. - Estimate the main laws that currently regulate urban management.

The Urban Planning History course allows to obtain the necessary knowledge for urban analysis and social or urban management of a city. In this way, the present course in urban planning history is aimed at obtaining the specific contents to endow the knowledge, skills, capacities, tools, attitudes, etc., that allow the analysis of any city, urban or social nucleus, taking as reference the story that precedes and thus obtaining a clear vision of the developed evolution.

This course of urban planning history is aimed at all those professionals in the world of history, architecture, art history, education, cultural management, urban or social advice, etc., especially for those who show special interest in the study of the contents that the history of urban planning offers, as for all those interested in acquiring related knowledge of urban and social evolution throughout history.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
